Work Experience
Work experience is an essential part of Year 10 and provides a valuable opportunity for young people to gain an insight into the world of work and prepare for the responsibilities and opportunities of adult life.
During the placements, students will carry out a range of tasks and duties similar to those of regular employees, but with a focus on the learning aspect of the experience. It is important to note that work experience is not intended to provide training for a student’s chosen career.
Students will work regular business hours, and may be required to visit the placement site prior to starting work. This is an invaluable experience that can help students gain a better understanding of the workplace, develop important skills and make informed career decisions for the future.
Students are encouraged to discover their own quality work experience placement, with guidance available via an online help guide on the school website. All placements must fill out a work experience placement form, and EBP(NW) Ltd. will ensure they are suitable. Please keep in mind that placements should be located within the Blackpool, Fylde, and Wyre areas.
