St. Mary’s Students Celebrate Sacrament of Confirmation

At the end of June, several of our students took a significant step in their faith journey by receiving the Sacrament of Confirmation. The service was held at St John Vianney’s Catholic Church on Glastonbury Avenue, where the young people were confirmed by the Bishop of Lancaster, The Right Reverend Paul Swarbrick.

This special evening was the culmination of six weeks of dedicated preparation. Leading up to the service, the students participated in a comprehensive preparatory course, taking time to reflect deeply on the commitment they were making and the meaning of the sacrament
within their lives.

All of the candidates looked incredibly smart and conducted themselves with the utmost reverence throughout the service. They were an absolute credit to themselves, their families, and our school community. We extend our warmest congratulations to them all as they continue their journey of faith, and we thank the families, catechists and clergy who supported them along the way.
