The twelve-day school trip to Nepal was an unforgettable adventure filled with culture, learning and discovery. Starting in Kathmandu, students explored ancient temples, religious landmarks, bustling local markets and World Heritage Sites, allowing them to gain a deep appreciation and understanding of the country’s rich history and traditions.
The highlight of the journey was spending four days at Shubhakamana Academy, where our students taught lessons covering a wide range of subjects to local Nepali children, from tiny tots in nursery to older teenagers. We also had the pleasure of visiting the homes and families of students supported by the Impact Foundation, which was an unforgettable experience. All of this allowed our students to have a huge impact on others, build lasting connections and create unforgettable memories to last a lifetime.
The trip then continued to Chitwan, where students immersed themselves in the natural beauty of the jungle with an exciting jeep safari and rhino spotting. We came up close and personal with one friendly rhino! We also had the unique experience of elephant washing. Blending cultural exploration, meaningful community engagement and exciting wildlife encounters, this trip was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience for everyone.
