Leadership Workshops Help Students Develop Key Skills

Three secondary school students in blazers and ties sit around a white table, collaborating on a team-building activity. They are focusing intensely as they each hold strings connected to an elastic band, working together to maneuver and stack yellow paper cups without using their hands.

In our recent Leadership Workshops we’ve been testing our patience, resilience, determination and teamwork in the ‘no hands cup stack’ challenge.

The teams were given several intricate structures to create with cups using only string and elastic bands to build with.

While the activity itself was a challenge, it gave students the opportunity to develop genuine self-awareness and discover how they respond to
tricky tasks given under pressure. Now it’s time to transfer these skills beyond the workshops and into real life!
