Course Description

The GCSE Mathematics content has been divided into six main domains: 

  • Number
  • Algebra
  • Ratio, proportion and rates of change
  • Geometry and measures
  • Probability
  • Statistics

There is a key emphasis on mathematical reasoning, communication and problem solving skills.

Future Opportunities

Following a GCSE Mathematics course will enable learners to develop their ability to analyse and solve challenging problems and approach unknown situations with confidence. These skills transfer directly into the workplace and improve student’s future career prospects. A high level of mathematical knowledge is essential for careers in finance, business, education, computing, engineering, medicine and many more.
