This qualification aims to focus on the study of the graphic design sector, offer breadth and depth of study, incorporating a key core of knowledge and to provide opportunities to acquire a number of practical and technical skills.
This qualification focuses on an applied study of graphic design and learners will gain a broad knowledge and understanding of working in the sector.
Understanding the components of graphic design, typography, work of graphic designers, logo and branding, requirements of a graphic design brief, planning, development and experimentation, graphic design production and displaying, presenting and promoting graphic design work.
Learners will develop skills in the following areas: developing their own ideas and adapting a response to feedback, problem solving, planning, evaluating their own work, independent learning, professional behaviours, working to deadlines, entrepreneurial skills, self-promotion and communication skills.
