Year 10 Sixth Form Taster Day

Over three days 206 year 10 students from St. Mary’s, Cardinal Allen and St. Bede’s spent a day as a sixth former, sampling lessons and having some free time. The evaluations were very positive with 98% saying it was good very good or outstanding. We hope to welcome a bumper crop of students in 2007.

Sixth Form Prom

The 2006 Sixth Form Leavers’ Prom was held on Thursday 26th May. All the Upper Sixth Students attended a Liturgy in the College Chapel and then proceeded to the Drama Theatre for a sensational buffet with live music by the Manchester Buskers. After the meal a couple of our ex-students provided an excellent disco for the staff and students to dance away a few pounds. Once again our students proved how able they are at business management and showed superb organizational skills in bringing the whole event together.

The evening was a great success and a huge thank you to all the people who helped in any way; especially the Site Supervisors who always bear the brunt of events like this.
