Recently students from 7V stepped out of their regular classroom and into the school chapel for a special art lesson focused on observational drawing. The session offered a fantastic opportunity for the group to study the intricate architecture and unique design elements of one of the school’s most significant spaces.
The class found the chapel to be an incredibly peaceful setting, which allowed them to focus completely on capturing the shapes, lines, and textures of the building. In addition to developing their artistic skills, the students learnt a great deal about the origins of St Mary’s and the historical architectural influences that shaped our school community.
